Once upon a time the Department of Labor passed a rule that made major changes in the Kingdom. It was an interesting story, but we are still waiting for an ending.
On February 22nd a federal appeals court granted the Department of Labor another extension. The new date for the DOL to state its position will be May 1st.
The DOL requested additional time to “allow incoming leadership personnel adequate time to consider the issues.”
The Department of Labor cabinet position remains open until the Senate confirms the nominee. Alexander Acosta has been nominated after Andrew Puzder withdrew his nomination. A conformation hearing has not been set for Mr. Acosta.
We are watching the nomination and court proceedings closely to see how this story ends.
